Morning Glory is a private, for profit, early care and education program and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Our school opened May 1991 in a converted residential building, serving children ages from six (6) weeks through twelve (12) years. Today, we now have two locations, our Chapel Street site serves preschool children aged 3–5 years old and our Parmelee Avenue site serves infants and toddlers aged 6 weeks to 3 years old in addition to preschool aged children.
We are an NAEYC
Accredited Center!
Morning Glory Early Learning Center LLC is an NAEYC Accredited center. The NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) strives to raise the quality of education for all children from birth to age eight. The programs at Morning Glory Early Learning Center LLC meet the national standard of quality, so that young children and their educators can have the best learning experiences.
Parents and staff are asked to provide the center with feedback on our program through the annual NAEYC family and staff surveys. Results are shared with parents, staff, NAEYC, and others as needed. We use this information to assist in setting goals for program improvements and quality.
Our Teachers
Our setting consists of a director, head teachers, teachers, assistants and a cook. Our primary teachers have degrees and are experienced in Early Childhood Education. Our teaching assistants have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or are enrolled in an educational program.
All of our teachers earn continuing education credit hours annually. In addition to this, the New Haven Public Schools system provides training and technical assistance to our staff in supporting your child’s school readiness. Every year, our program staff must engage in educational opportunities that promote an advancement of knowledge, understanding, and effective practices in early childhood education across multiple areas of development and learning for families and children.
Our commitment to continuing professional development is an essential step that enables us to deliver quality programming and best practices to you and your child.
